The Flying Needles
THE FLYING NEEDLES
Please join fellow quilters to work on a hand quilted project or make your own quilt project to donate for sale by the group. This group is open to the public and we invite you to join us.
We quilt other people’s quilts at .015 per square inch.
We also sell potholders, placemats, gift card holders, wall hangings, Christmas ornaments, cross-body purses, pillows, bags to hang on walkers, rice heating bags, knitted washcloths, scarves, bunnies, kittens, and other cool stuff. All are hand-made beautiful quilted items.
Our proceeds go to local non-profit organizations including:
First United Methodist Boiler Fund, Pastor’s Discretionary Fund, Franklin Oil City Salvation Army, St. Patrick’s Food Pantry, St. Elizabeth Church Food Pantry, Kirtland Cancer Foundation, Youth for Christ, Mustard Seed, Friends of the Franklin Public Library, Friends of the Oil City Library, Humane Society, ABC Life, Franklin YMCA, Veterans Honor Guard, Community Dinner FUMC, or the VNA Foundation.
We meet every Thursday at Franklin First United Methodist Church from 8 am to 11 am
